That makes some sense. There is a certain audio "bias" to the visual aspect of the instrument. I mean, every detail must make some difference no matter how small, but what we can actually hear is a different story.

When we talk overall for whole bass instrument I think that wood selection affects to the sound in share 70:30 percent (body:neck+fretboard)!
