Just got my L3 HSS and loving it. I've been using a Digitech rps 100 for the longest time. Thinking about getting something new and was curious what pedals or processors other players are using with their MM guitars.

I am really liking the T.C. Electronic Toneprint pedals
The 4x Delay and the Fall of Fame reverb are defintely worth the $
also I have found myself really enjoying the Xotic EP Booster and SL Drive

I use a G-Major 2 (similar to your RPS) in the loop for verb and delay only, and up front I use TC stuff for drive and chorus (nova drive and corona) - as well as MXR EVH for flange and phase. Wah is a crybaby.

TC G-Force in my Effects Loop and a handful of MXR pedals in front (GT-OD, EVH Phaser, EVH Flanger, and Dyna Comp) ... Oh, and I have a Digitech Whammy IV and a CAE Wah.

I like plugging straight into the amp. Somtimes a wah or a delay, but going straight into an awesome tube amp like an electradyne is money. But its all personal preference I understand.

Changes all the time but hopefully I am done.

I have an Eventide H9, Boss DD20 and Lizard Legs Flying Dragon Boost in the fx loop - and the front of the has an AMT Japanese Girl Mini Wah, Digitech DROP, Wampler EGO, Barber Gain Changer and Suhr Riot...............

Second that. Straight into the amp and delay in the loop controlled via a pedal.

I'll 5th it. Currently I play directly using the amp's gain and reverb and a Cry Baby. I haven't been using the digitech much, except for delay. Maybe I'll get a new delay and a tube amp.

My current setup:

iswruNZ.jpg

Guitar (EBMM AL, JP, Maj, various Carvins)
>
Boss TU-3 Tuner: Everyone needs a tuner. It was between this or the TC Electronic Polytune, but the store didn't have any Polytunes left in stock and I'm too lazy to drive/call around to find one so that made my decision easy. I used to carry my Peterson Stroboplus HD with me everywhere but it got cumbersome to unplug the guitar from the amp, plug it into the tuner, tune, then plug back into the amp. Not a very quick process.
>
Chellee "Odie" OD pedal: An amazing OD - like a TS on steroids. Hand made in the US, true bypass, and only $100!!
>
EH Deluxe Big Muff Pi: The classic Big Muff Pi fuzz but with a noise gate (a godsend for this pedal), a mids parametric EQ, a bass-boost mode, and an "attack" knob that mixes in the original pick attack so notes don't lose their separation when the sustain is cranked. It adds a bit of extra "grrrrrr!!!" to the sound too. Probably one of the best/most versatile fuzz boxes out there.
>
TC Electronic Spark Boost: I saw a demo where Rob Chapman used this pedal and it made his tube amp sing. Well, it does just that. Three modes, 26db clean boost on tap, gain knob for extra drive, and a highly musical 2-band EQ (bass & treble knobs). It immediately has become one of my favorite pedal. And I bought it without even trying it out first. The great thing about this pedal is that you can use it by itself or after an OD/distortion. Plus, my Big Muff Pi sounds awesome with the Odie on, so these 3 pedals all play well together!
>Mark IV input (amp stays on Rhythm Channel 2)
>Loop Send>
Wampler Ego Compressor: So here's the deal with this guy in the loop. Since I leave my amp on channel 2 all the time with a fair amount of gain when the guitar's volume is wide open, I like to also use this channel for my clean tone; but when I turn the guitar down to 3 or 4, the volume drops significantly too. In steps the Ego. It brings my "quiet" clean sound up to snuff and keeps the wide-open, balls to the wall gain sound tamable; But it works subtly enough that I'm not squashing the dynamics. And, given how finicky the master volume knob on my Mark IV is, I can actually use the volume knob on the comp to control my overall volume, though it's generally set up so that between 9 and 10 o'clock is unity.
>
TC Electronic JP Dreamscape: Easily my favorite chorus out there. I even did a 32-minute demo/review of it.
>
Zoom MS-70CDR: An amazing value and great sounding chorus/delay/reverb pedal. I mainly use it for the HD reverb setting, as well as a nice clean ambient delay that's unobtrusive.

Mark IV power amp.

Boss gt10 using 4 cable method with my boogie, controls everything really well including Chanel switching the amp. Best thing about this arrangement is that the gt10 doesn't get in the way. I can put gain, comp, wah before the boogie and echo, rev after it with no fuss.

I was a vintage rack guy for a while....mostly using 2 Yamaha SPX90s toggling back and forth in the effects loop....then after discovering how good pedals had become I built a board with Empress, Mr. Black, TC Electronic and Keeley pedals....all of which are fantastic. Then I got tired of the "tap dance" and went back to a rack. I bought a used Fractal Ultra....I use that in the loop of my boutique built Ginelle amp and have a few pedals in front. I would recommend any of the pedals I mentioned above.

In my opinion, effects are the last thing you should worry. Unless you have an amp as nice as your guitar, save some money and buy a real good one.
Think about amps as translators. Let them show you your finger-print or... keep the glove.

This is my alternate rig (well, GT-100 w/ Mark V) - I just don't like the unavoidable tone-suck. You don't really notice it unless you A/B it directly, so it's not a big deal.

I dunno though - something about the mojo of actual pedals is really nice, you know? I do enjoy the simplicity of the Boss, but honestly, my pedalboad is only a little bigger than the GT-100 and it's just as easy to set up and tear down - although, I do like the constant easy access to the looper on my GT.

Pros and cons with both, right? lol

I'm mostly using TC Electronic pedals too. Alter Ego, Hall of fame, Spark Boost, and Polytune. Add Radial Bones overdrive and that's my standard setup. Will add another distortion at some time in the future and possibly an Ernie Ball Wah or the AMT mini-wah. Multi-effect units have many serious advantages but I've never really gotten into them. Just the way my brain works I guess.

That's a nice way to put it.

POD HD500X with 4 cable method for delays, reverbs and modulations only. It also switches channels on my Boogie via g-lab switcher. POD takes a lot of bi#ching from TC and Axe FX users, probably cuz it costs significantly less and still does the job perfectly:) Plus it's a great machine for home recording too.
Wah wise it's Zakk's sig pedal ZW45, the craziest sounding wah I've ever used.
I've also started plugging straight into amp recently for the purpose of a traditional blues band I joined, not much fx needed there apart from tuner and amp's reverb.

Great rig, Majestic Voyage. The Wampler Ego would probably be great for studio recording.
