I joined the EBMM family (addiction) in July 2006 when my Sterling HS arrived just as I was heading to the recording studio. Out of the box, the first thing it did was lay down a track for one of our new songs. It sounded great and started the addiction.

Last night, I played my first gig with EBMM basses. Took my Sterling, SR5 HS and Bongo 4H. All of them looked great - but more importantly sounded great. This was the bands first time to see or hear the Bongo - which I used on a bluesy number and a funk song. My drummmer looked at me and said - God that bass has...has...has, and I said Balls - yeah that's it - it sounds great. Very cool.

Here are some pics my wife took.

Sorry - this one is out of focus

You're a lucky man :)

Looks like you guys had a great time.

If you had to pick ONE as your fav, which bass would it be? :D

Azzy - that's a tough one. I prefer the thinner neck of the Sterling - I found it so comfortable and easy to play last night. But on the two songs I played on the Bongo - I found that I could dig in like crazy and the thing growled with delight. Plus it was lightweight and I think looked cool. It is really growing on me.

But I am sure in the eyes of all forumites, the correct answer to your question is: It is impossible to pick my favorite, as all EBMM basses are great!!!

You play the Bongo H enough the band will ask you to leave the rest of them home pretty soon I reckon.

You may as well get comfy with the bongo. :)
