i always turn all knobs to 100% on ... so i actually dont care about this stuff. Im pretty ignorant like that.

i have heard that a 2 band sounds differnent than a 3 ... is this true if both have their knobs at 100%>?

If you do that on a Bongo (all knobs 100%), then you are going a long way towards blowing your speakers and sounding like crap.

I've got 4 bands + piezos on both of my Bongos, and my last Bongo purchase will also have the 4 band + piezo option. I didn't like the piezos on my fretted with roundwounds, but I LOVE my piezos on the fretted with flats. Without them, I couldn't get my favorite HH Bongo tone. On fretless, the piezos are fine with roundwounds, and I am glad I spent the extra $$ on them for that bass, too.

What would be great is if someone could co-ordinate a hosting of all these different eq basses playing a clip of a solo piece.

Then people like me (left handed and restricted to what we can find to play ourselves) can listen to the clips and understand the difference in sounds on the different options on MM basses.

Someone must be technically capable of something simple that this????

Any takers

Thanks

Liam

2 band SR here. I really liked the SR5s I've played though. Should I vote twice?

:D
