Hi all,

A new member here from the UK. Sorry to post another opinion thread but if gonna drop some big money I want to see how my peers think!

Have finally decided to sell all of my guitars because I only need one! I owned a Sterling JP60 2 years ago and sold it on regretfully. However, due to space issues I will be moving all of my guitars on and just settle on a JP6 Piezo.

I've seen a 2004 JP6 special edition in radiance red and just wanted to get an opinion on this guitar. I've always wanted a Piezo equipped guitar as I feel it gives the best of both worlds. I know there are other ways of getting acoustic sound but I want to make my rig smaller.

The JP6 has been in my sights for a while now but I just wanted to get an idea of this particular model. It looks absolutely stunning.

Many thanks

Lee

Lee, welcome to the forum family!

In 2004 EBMM did limited runs of guitars in Radiance Red and what I think was called Envy Green. Other than the paint job (which I think also had a black headstock with gold lettering) they were standard JP6 guitars. If you are already familiar with the JP6, you'll know exactly what to expect.

If you have any JP specific questions, there are plenty of knowledgable forum members here to help.

Thanks DrKev.

I'm not 100% on the earlier JP6 models so am a bit unsure as to what the pickup specs etc are? Couldn't find a spec write up either.

It is the one with the black headstock and LE on the neck plate.

I have a standard 2005 (non-LE, matching headstock) RR JP7. It's my favourite guitar of all my EBMMs. It has the "mojo" and I can't see myself parting with it.

The pickups would be the original modified Air Norton/Steve's Special that JP used - can't buy them anywhere separately. The MM guitars were the only place to get those variations.

Thanks Nils.

The one I'm looking at is in lovely condition, is £1200 about right?
