I've been trying to find the specs of this EB product online, but can't find any measurements other than the diameter of the wheels. I'm interested in knowing the length of the grip ring stem (ie. the shaft on top of the caster/castor).

I recently outfitted my Mesa cabs and my guitarists Marshall with new EB caster sets. Certainly are much heavier duty units, moreso than what many amp companies use as OE. The sockets are way heavier with thicker walls
Stem length measure 38mm, and the stem diameter 11mm.

As a test I plugged in an old caster and it fit, so these EB caster stems seem to be a standard size.

Thanks Mike, that's the same as the standard Fender/SWR casters. Good to know. I'm looking for casters with bigger wheels than the standard 2" ones, to make them more roadworthy on rough car parks and over pavement cracks, but if I strike out the EB casters sound like a good backup plan.

Around here, hardware stores carry replacement casters (with no sockets) in many different sizes, and I was previously using 3" casters.

But with the taller wheel putting more leverage against the OE sockets with their thin walls eventually distorted, kinda balloned out, and they wouldn't hold casters anymore. Anytime we lifted the cabs, the wheels would fall off.

I found that the EBMM casters are a direct replacement for Ampeg classic series cabs and also vintage Acoustic cabs. That made me a happy guy. Some of that vintage Acoustic stuff is HEAVY!

Bigger wheels may help on cracks - but I like the bass cab closer to the ground - so then you gotta pull them out. Pain in the butt.

Thanks guys, I ended up buying some really nice 4" castors on eBay with the correct shaft length and diameter that allow me to go four wheel driving with my cab across car parks very easily
