Hey guys, been lurking here for a long-time and finally decided to join
. I'm looking for a new 7 and in terms of what i want, i feel the Ernie ball Jp12 and the Jp7 bfr are the two i should be looking at. I'm trying to nail the "tight" shreddy/metal tone, so i've taken the jpx out (even though it looks sexy as hell ... :drool
. I'm not totally sure how the jp7 bfr works, i've read that it is a baritone, but both guitars share the same scale length ? So far i'm leaning towards the jp12 because its cheaper and has an ebony fingerboard. Is there a dramatic difference between the two guitars in terms of spec/playability ? Also does anyone have a specific store they would reccomend buying one from ? So far i've been told Drum city guitar land and Amazon (?). Lastly, is there any way to get the jp7 or the jp12 in white, or is it only cherry for the jp12 ?
Sorry for all the questions, All the help is greatly appreciated
