It looks like most of the EBMM guitars have the same 5 bolt neck setup. Does this mean that necks from different EBMM models can be interchanged? The reason I ask is that I had an AL that I loved but the neck repeatedly caused me to strain a tendon in my hand. I wanted to know if I could replace the AL neck with a neck from another model since they all look to have the samebolt on configuration. Thanks.

Can't tell you the name of the tendon but its in the middle of my palm. I had a serious finger injury where I caught my ring on something and practically ripped my finger off. Now I can hardly bend it so I'm sure my pain from playing the AL comes from that. I'm planning on getting another one and somehow put a different neck on it, hopefully another EBMM neck. I did play a Sub at guitar center and the neck it didn't hurt my hand at all. Congratulations on your acquisition! Such a sweet sounding guitar and what a great player he is. Met him once in Vegas-a very modest and unassuming guy.

You should be able to replace the neck with any other EBMM neck that is 22 fret. You will not be able to use a 24 fret neck... you'll be changing the scale legnth if you do use the 24 fret... that will destroy the intonation. But theoretically, the 22s will work.

Sell the Al and buy a Sub1...oh, ho, oh..or we could trade, my Sub1 for your AL. I mean really it boils down to you playing right...why play with the pain! Seriously though the Sub is a fantastic guitar!edcat said:
