After seeing and hearing Stirling Ball talk about new eq settings on the 30th anniversary sr5 I was wondering if there was a difference in the EQ between the alnico pickup basses pre the ceramic changeover and those made when MM returned to alnico. Are these essentially the same bass preamps? Are there differences in the early alnicos and the current alnico pickups as well? Thanks in advance
