CS at EB is not open yet so I thought I'd ask here. Can you order the splitter box directly from EB? Also, is it still $25?

Thanks.

I think it was $50 (maybe less) when I bought it, but the dealer probably ripped me off. He even charged me the COD that EB charged him! I only did it because I needed it quick and the logistics of doing a special order through guitar center or manny's takes FOREVER>

Wow. I'll have to call CS and find out. If it's $50, I'll just make one myself.

GC totally screwed you.... and that's why I love my MOM and POP stores...

Peterd79,

From the original text, it sounds as though radrock did NOT buy from GC because he felt it would take forever. So, it wasn't GC who ripped him off...

Alright, my memory has served me wrong. I think the 25 foot cable and the splitter were $50+ together. Probably a little more. However I do distinctly remember being charged for the COD to get the stuff from San Luis Obispo. That was like another $8.

You are correct, I DID go to a mom & pop store because I ordered immediately. Usually, I would never go to a private store. They just always cost more. I don't care what anyone says, Guitar Center may have clueless employees, but you can always get a cheaper price (if you don't mind the wait), if you know how really work they're price matching policies etc. And G.C. would never charge a customer the COD charge.

Does anyone know how the Piezo/Mag signals are routed on the JP? In other words, with a stereo cable, is the Piezo signal on the Tip or the Ring?

+1

I buy EVERYTHING from my mom/pop because GC can't compete. People who frequent those places either

a) try and don't buy or
b) try to get lucky and get one over on the dupes there or
c) haven't got a clue anyway
