Ernie Ball String Mfg.?

Had a discussion with a friend today. He said EB strings are not actually made by Ernie Ball. Does Ernie Ball have a string factory or are they made by someone else?

I think your friend should do a little fact checking.

EB certainly has a string factory... running several shifts per day. The facility is right there in San Luis Obispo, I believe.

it used to be in San Luis Obispo, it is now several hundred miles south, in Indio Ca. The only production going on in SLO is Musicman guitars and basses but yes, we do make our strings. Good strings.
