Hi,

Im looking into the prospect of getting a volume pedal for my g-major, I have heard that you can set it up to control the amount of reverb/delay etc you have on a particular patch as well as turning it on/off whilst in the effects loop,

Can somebody explain if this is correct and also exactly how to go about doing it.. (I have an fcb footswitch but im basically trying to get rid of it and use this set up instead if its possible)

Thanks for the help

ps sorry if this is in the wrong forum

you can do that with the pedals of the fcb1010 as well.
setup the CC# of the pedal for e.g. mod1 of the g-major. assign mod1 to, let´s say the delay mix, now push the right button on the g-major and set the low, mid and high level of the delay mix, store and recal the preset. now you can controll the amount of delay with the pedal.

ok cheers,

but for the volume pedal, do i just plug the output into the external control in on the g major? do you need to program it?

pretend i never mentioned the fcb..

and i buy a volume pedal, how can i use it?

can it do the same for reverb? can it just turn it on/off?

Have you tried the TC Electronic forums? There are a few guys over there who really know what they're doing. I'm almost certain this subject has been covered before.

You might do a quick search over there...

sorry, i misunderstood your posting:

(I have an fcb footswitch but im basically....

thought you mean the FCB1010....
i used an old ebmm pedal with the external in on the g-major and yes, a monocable pluged into the output works.
but you´ll have to configure it in the "mod-menu" of the g-major. instead of choosing a CC# (like i wrote above) you choose "pedal", than assign to the parameter you want to control and set min/mid/max level - store and you are done.
