I bought the Ernie Ball wah wah the other day so I need to ask what the output on the 6195 power supply should be. I bought one off of Amazon the other day I am not too sure its correct so I am looking to ask someone else who also already has the pedal what the output should be from the 9.6v pedal? And the Pedal FAQ's stuck to the FAQ's of the Forum are long gone so I did give them a look. Please give me a small bit of help and answer me.

Well Pete, that is what they gave me on Amazon a 9 volt with 300 ma. I am sure the grounding is correct just not the output but since you said 300 ma I will stay with what was sent.

I have found the 1Spot is NOT compatible with this wah-wah. 300ma is the max recommended power for the pedal. I ordered something similar to this one which will work from Planet Waves. 1Spot is a great idea and power supply but its not for everything. I had a DeviEver USA Fuzz which is a Bit Fuzz at least it sounds that way to me with a max of 300ma rating on the adpater, 1Spot makes it sound like CRAP along with this Wah. Everyone has an aversion to wall-warts, I use two 7 outlet APC Surge protectors with seperate 6 inch AC cords for Each wall wart allowing every outlet to be used. Out of all of my pedals the list is growing small for the ones I can use the 1Spot for. I also use a Furman AC-215A for noise on the AC power circuits. If you buy get the 15 amp model this one is only 10 amp.

I've used the 1Spot with mine- it is compatible and it works just fine.

With regards to the current rating: you want a power supply with a higher rating than the pedal. A supply with a greater current rating will NOT damage a pedal- it will only deliver as much current as is being drawn by the pedal, no more. The 1Spot is 1700 mA so it has plenty of current. (Voltage/polarity is another issue.)

The issue people often have with it is noise, when it's being used to power multiple pedals. Sometimes noise from certain pedals is conducted by the ground and passed into other pedals. (For example, noise from digital delays, etc. sounds awful when it finds its way into an OD pedal, when they're daisy chained together.)

If you've got a lot of pedals to power, you're better off looking at an isolated, filtered supply (like the Voodoo Labls PP2+) rather than a pile of wall warts and surge protectors. Much neater and quieter.

STOP! This is a common misunderstanding and now is an ideal time to correct it...

Do not think of power adaptors supplying current TO a pedal, rather the pedals draw current FROM the power adaptor. A pedal will only take as much current as it needs, never more, no matter what power rating the adaptor has.

300mA max is not the recommendation for the pedal, rather it is a recommended minimum specification for the adaptor, i.e. don't use an adaptor that is rated less than 300mA max. The advantage with higher current rated power supplies is that they can power a greater number of pedals (i.e. a larger current draw) without effecting the voltage. (With some lower power or cheaper adaptors, the voltage drops as we draw more current, which will effect tone and/or function on most pedals). Such a high power rating is an advantage of the 1Spot and it is not incompatible with the EB wah.

The 1Spot is a high quality product and usually causes no noise issues what so ever. If you are having problems, you either have a faulty 1Spot unit (which is uncommon), or like beej suggested, you have a problem with one of the pedals. Note that Line6 ToneCore pedals don't work well with some adaptors, the 1Spot is one of those (possibly a problem with the pedal design, rather than the adaptors).

Dear Sir i also have a new EB wah do you know the right specifications that are written on EB adapter PO 6195, i have figured it is 9.6 Volts but how much of MAmpers? thanks in advance. PS because me as somebody with electronic high school can not accept that you can put God knows how much more ma from that are stated on the pedal or adapter, some pedal can hold 100 or 200 ma more but for sure in couple of moths or years they will be damaged and some with far less. anyhow do you know the right specification from that adapter i would appreciated very much thanks in advance.

You can use any 9V adapter (assuming the polarity is correct - center negative). Read what I said again...

If the pedal only needs 30mA, the pedal will draw 30mA and that is all. In other words - you can safely use a 25 million Amp adapter if you like, provided it is 9V, DC, center negative.

Yes Sir i read that, and i know more than 50% of guitarist will say and do so, that is why i polite asked do you know the specifications that are stated on Ernie ball adapter PO 6195. Morley wah or any other wah that have optical poteciometars instead of regular or magnetic one as "t-rex" extreme expensive wah "gull' have- cost more than 200 E and it is among best 5 on many lists will have Bruuuum or rustle sound if you put anything more than 9v and 300 ma, if i put 1 Amper the noise is loud as hell and it will destroy pedal for sure. It is possible to have stronger adapter but that are PRO adapters which will precisely over electronic give to each pedal what they need, but i currently do not have 400E or 500 E to bay one. If you put that 9V 25 million ampere the pedal will be dead only question how long will some pedal work, year, 2, 3 or one day. By that logic everybody would produce adapters with the maximum of Ampere and divace will take what they need, but the things do not function on that way. anyhow thank you for your time.

No, it's the other way around, the adapter delivers a certain amount of milliamps up to a point, the device will take what it needs. If the device wants more milliamps, the adapter will try to a point where it will malfunction and worst case die.

If you use VoodooLabs PP2+, it has certain outlets that deliver 250mA and could even go somewhat higher as they built in a safety margin, but if the device wants much more, then something has to give up and it's the weakest link (the adapter.)

Spot1s -- as mentioned -- deliver 1700mA that is plentiful for most pedals out there. The issue is if you cascade mount multiple pedals to the same Spot1. If you stay under 1700mA it is Ok but then you could get grounding non-isolation issues of the power which results to hum due to multiple devices accessing the same outlet and having possible grounding issues (or not, really depends per pedal and construction.)

I didn't even mention that having an analog wah on a pedalboard next to other pedals could also cause hum -- hence many put their wah pedals a distance from their pedalboard.

I do not know how much the EB Wah requires, though.

Dear all ksandvik, mikeller and Spudmurphy thank you for the replays i honestly do appreciate especial mikeller and Spudmurphy for what you are using and were to find and ksandvik for interesting comments and useful observations. I will call thomann UK or Germany ( i live on Adriatic coast) they are OK and until now what i have bayed was absolutely in OK condition ( no trouble during the shipment). I will never understand why music industry did not made some standards regarding the power supply for pedals the life wold be much easier, but i guess it is due to money issue to complicate and that i ( us) have sometimes to use specific adapters even if other 5 pedals works fine the other 3 needs something different ( at the end i put their original adapters and everything is fine). The " mooer" is cool company i have some of their pedals-they works just fine. So again thank you all. all best, M.
