hey everyone! As you know the holidays are coming up, and I would like to add a certain Wah pedal to my list, however I cannot find any demos featuring the Ernie Ball Wah and a bass. Im pretty sure that it works with bass, does anyone want to confirm this for me?

thanks, and also sound clips are welcome :)

I owned one. It was built solid and had a great sound. I ended up selling in the end because I'm more of a rock guy who is looking for that Cliff Burton type wah/boost. The EB wah was a little too polite to my ears, but then again everyone's different. I couldn't play a funk line to save my life so there you go!

I have used a wah with my MMSR4 years ago when I was in a funk band. As previously stated it does cut out most of the bottom end (as I find distortion effects do also)..but used properly it is definatly cool and you will stand out.

To combat the issue of the bottom end dropout I used a splitter (basically was a floor flanger effect with 2 outs) and ran one dry..one through the wah and mixed it to where you get the wah effect..and maintain the bottom as well. But if you do this during gigs you need to work with a tolerant sound man as anything "unconventional" seems to wig many of them out.

I should add...this requires an amp with dual inputs..or bi-amping. As far as sound boards since I never mic the bass I used the DI out of my amp which then blended signal goes into the board from there. Otherwise you will require two directs in..really causing most soundmen to lose their lunch when you tell them you need 2 channels for bass...it's like some kind of carnal sin for them to imagine such a thing.

Sorry I have no clips..but it sounds just like a wah..only with bass. Someone above posted a clip but it looks to me like a guitar and I am assuming you wanted a clip of a bass through a wah? Good Luck.

it's a good product for guitar but i dont think it was meant for bass and i dont recall seeing any of the ads marketing that point.
