Hey everyone, do you ever get on of those days where no matter what you do you can't get your gear to sound good....:( today I was trying to get some stuff recorded and was using my Luke and no matter what I do it won't stay in tune.... (its not the guitar... it's me...) and the my amps don't sound right.. my delay settings are wrong.... I just can't get it today.... aaarghhhh..... but then I think.... well I have a beautiful Axis coming next week so it will be all right then.... your mind really can play some silly tricks on you....:)

BP is right....move the amp around,
sometimes, I go in a different room in the house...or if you're sitting down playing, try putting the strap on and standing up for a few minutes.

We all have those days, but I've had a lot less of them since I started playing my axis more.

have had that happen often when playing live, just cant get my tone that i usually have (more than likely its like what BP said, amp placement), but also i think its partly me too, i just dont feel it when playing, just cant get into a groove. but then at the end of the night i just laugh about it, and think it could be worse, and most of the time i find that most people in the crowd dont really notice (unless they are really switched on).
Im keen to play live with my Petrucci though!! i cant wait in the short time ive had it ive noticed my playing is quite a bit better, i dont feel restricted like i did with my LP..

Have days like this a lot. Just a bad day. Some days me and my guitar are like one. The other days it's like "boxing an iceberg" (Stephen Colbert). You just have to live through it.

That does happen from time to time (although, this morning I got to experience just the opposite - it was awesome!, but I digress). The best solution (for me) is to do exactly what you did - something else for the rest of the day - and drink a few beers in the process. :)

Yup. That would be called "everyday". :D

But seriously, yes. It happens every now and then, mainly when I'm just playing with my amp in my room. If it sounds bad, sometimes it's because of the door being open, closed, volume whatever.

I get days where it seems like I just can't play as well as I could the day before. I'm not great with technique to begin with, but still it's frustrating :p
