I've discovered some ugly surprises beneath painted tops :rolleyes:.

This one's not so bad though, in fact I think if you strip the headstock, it'd look pretty cool, maybe with a Tru Oil finish. If the price stays low, it'd make a great player for someone.

If I catch my black Axis in the right light I can make out the flame figuring in the top. I would never consider stripping the top though.

I don't think they took the bridge off of that guitar, it looks like there's a red ring around it and in the 5 way.

I did that to my strat copy Peavey that was my first guitar before refinishing it, but i'd never do that to a MusicMan! That's just blasphemy! The finishes are hard as nails and perfect to start with!
