I'm thing of getting a Silo and wanted to find out how the neck compares to the EBMM EVH. I love the neck on my Amber but really hate the Strat type necks. How do these two compare. I know the Silo insn't a Strat but are the necks comparable to the early EVH? Thanks guys.

I haven't played EVH, but played Axis and Super Sport, which should have the same or similar neck shape (not sure). I haven't heard a bad comment on Silo's neck, it's my favourite neck so far. Recently I had to sell one of my guitars - Silo or a Super Sport - and Silo is still with me  . I would say that these two necks are similar, but Axis feels a little bit more chunky at first frets (but still very comfortable) while Silo is more 'balanced' (for a lack of better word :) )

By the way what Strat you are reffering to? Modern Strat, MIM or 50s/60s reissue? :)

The necks are quite different. The EVH is thinner at the nut but quite a bit chunkier in the back (I hope this makes sense). The Silo seems to have a flatter fretboard (they may have the same radius, but being slightly wider it seems flatter). Overall, they are both real players necks and personally I like em both

It seems that every Strat I've played has a differnt neck. Too chunky for me. I do have an 86 MIJ that sounds fantastic but the neck just doesn't suit me. I'm spoiled with my MMEB.
