Hi guys, this is my first post!
I'm a new member of the Ernie Ball Family and I couldn't be happier.
I bought a EBMM JP6 Mystic Dream with Piezo and it sounds amazing. The sustain on this guitar is superb.

First, I'm here to tell you what were the guitar setup when it arrived so new buyers could compare them. I know there are differences between countries when you consider average humidity and temperature. I'm from Chile and these are our average climate conditions:

Temperature : 14,5 ºC
Humidity : 70%

The setup is this:

  • neck relief (between 1st-19th fret): 0,25mm / 0,010"
Note : I choose the 19th fret where the neck joins the body

  • String action at the 12th fret : all the same measure 1,5mm/0,06"
Note : (same measure at the 23th fret)

  • Bridge pickup height : 2,5mm / 0,010"
  • Neck pickup height : 4mm / 0,15"
Note : From the top of the pickup to the bottom of the string.

I hope this could help someone.

Having saying this, I have a question about the string alignment at the bridge. Here are some pictures of the neck so you could see it. It seems straight to me and there si no problem with the neck pocket.
The two saddles screws are pretty leveled too.

But in the picture you'll see only the b string is aligned with the saddle (Piezo). Is this normal? I have no problem when I play it but it's a little anoying to know it :(

Thank you for your time! :)
See you guys!

Welcome & congrats!
Very detailed report...nice!

I'm pretty sure you can de-tune the strings (remove the tension), re-position each one to the center of the saddle and when you tune back up they should stay put (centered)
...depending on how hard you strum / pick of course...

I found that when I restrung for the first time with lighter gauge strings, several of them didn't naturally center on the saddles and needed to be nudged a little.

I'll try it. I'll keep you informed. Thanks!

I have a Majesty that is like that too. I honestly never noticed it until I had partially removed the bridge to replace the cover piece. If you look at the picture the D string is the only one centered. It works perfectly however???

Yep! it looks the same. I've already solved the visual effect because there was no effect on my playing. I did a dive bomb and moved a little bit the saddle and the string as well. I'm attaching some pics :)
Thanks!
