Any kind of special events like they do at PRS? I've never been to California (let's be honest, going to Ohio is a big deal for me), so I'm looking for excuses.

That would be sweet! I did the PRS one this past year and I had a blast! It was just cool to see in person where one of my guitars came from and how they are made. I have since then sold my PRS cause lack of use but still cool.

Big Poppa, I totally understand. I don't want to take money out of your pocket. However, do you do guided tours? If I show up with a hanky on a stick dressed like a 1940's hobo, can I still get a look-see? My father is an automotive engineer and LOVES that side of it (CAD, etc.) I am the musician and a wood freak and could spend hours in the kiln (I LOVE the heat as it is so miserably cold here in Michigan).

Agreed.

Bp puts one helluva party. I had on my forum party Tee just the other day and started thinking about how awesome it was. On the other side of things I can totally see where Bp is coming from. Besides I rather save the money for my next eb then hang with u guys and gals.

The Forum Bashes were the shizznit. (Being old, I have to assume that means they were good.) Every now and then, here in the heart (perhaps nearer the pancreas) of Texas, I try to have a little tiny bass fiesta every year or so, but the food's not as good and we hardly ever get famous rock stars. Still, it's nice to get together with the fellow aficionados now and then.

I also once gave a guided tour of my kitchen.

We've also had some forum Getogethers in the UK courtesy of Strings n Things and Blind Lemons infamous Knucklehead Bashes.

We've had online bashes like Spuds Xmas On line parties too.

Sometimes I get to see Mr and Mrs OlPlayer and we have a get together involving much consumption of wine some guitar set ups and some chilli!!!

Mike I agree, and from BP's post it sounds like there won't be anymore... I'm *really* glad I was able to make both as well as Jack's birthday bash in Dallas...

fred

Fred, I couldn't agree with you more.

I wish I could have made one of the bashes but timing was wrong, but yea BP is right on the cost, in money and lost labor, but maybe oneday there will be another, hell I be up for it even if we paid for it like a trip to a resort!!

And yes Lord Bovine throws a fine local bash and hell I have been on that kitchen tour a couple times!

I’d be more than thrilled to see a series of videos of the different departments but I think some of it is off limits to the public.

BP, they were simply a dream! So glad I had the opportunity to attend and play at both. Thanks again for all the special things you did for us "regular" guys (and girls, Bass-ic loved it too). You never know, maybe one day down the road - you're quite creative!

They were amazing ... I'm so glad to have gone. The thing is, BP spared no expense- they were all over the top.

I'd settle for a nice documentary, I think it would make for really interesting viewing. Start off with the whole history of Ernie Ball Music Man, leading right up to the Gamechanger! Closing credits you can have customers (like us) submit 30 second clips of how enjoyable life can be when you have a Ball to play with!
