the fact that it is a hardtail makes it worth quite a bit, but i would have been a little reluctant to pay that much, being faded like that. i dont know how that will be seen in the future, as far as resale value. maybe it wont be an issue for resale price because it was a factory related issue and not a sign of neglect or abuse.

hard to say???

it is a killer top though

Purple ?!?!?......... Wow, I would have put money on that being a faded Trans Black...

Have you checked the Serial # with CS to confirm colour ?

Cool axe anyways...... Purple, Black....... or green with pink polka dots !

Very nice. It's too bad EBMM won't refinish these anymore..... It would be killer refined- but that of course would lower it's value as well.

Do *not* refinish that guitar. These are only getting more collectible, and any alterations (even by the factory!) diminish its value. The fact that it's faded is just evidence that it's probably still got its original finish and that's a very good thing. It actually adds historical value to the guitar.

Besides that (and more importantly in my book), the faded finishes look awesome! So much more dimension than a pristine brand-new finish. I don't even think you can get a fresh finish to look like that, or at least nobody offers a factory finish like that.
