Another thing about the photos of the new BFR Petrucci and Morse... those rosewood fretboards are some of the prettiest I've seen (the beautiful flame on the back of the maple neck is top notch too). I never was a big fan of rosewood. I wasn't that wild about it being what came with my BFR Valentine, but I came to dig it a lot. Both the look and the feel. EBMM gets some pretty rosewood. In that poll a while back about fingerboard preferences I voted "ebony" but if I could get a rosewood fretboard like the ones in those photos, I'd take rosewood in a heartbeat. I even like how great they look with no binding. Very rich and classic looking.

A great rosewood fretboard can look and feel amazing. Rich, dense, great color saturation. Not all of them are however, the vast majority is not looking great at all. Overall ebony is easier to live with.
Not a fan of satin finishes here, so I’m safe for this BFR run.

The Vault is a plethora of nice BFR like guitars, one offs limited editions, makes me nervous to even look any longer :)
