Favorite eb/mm story

Just when you thought no one cared....

As an "over 50" member of the forum, my love for Stingrays occured in the late 70's. As such my Inca Silver is well worn, but loved. I recently restored an older white rosewood 'Ray for my "vintage" gigs, to give the old silver a rest, but alas, I needed a string tree. My endless thanks to Scott Ball, who took the time to send me one FOR FREE, even though he was packin' his bags for Winter Namm.

What can I say...thanks for nearly 30 years (can you believe it) of superb service to bass players everywhere. And yes, I fell in love with a white sparkle Sterling, and a bongo, and a Sterling SUB and an SR5. I even keep a few OLP's around for my students!!! Timeless....

My story is also very recent (occured just yesterday actually)
I giged with my Stingray at this club, and they plugged straight into the main speakers, no amp or preamp- so my sound was only affected by my instrument. And it sounded great.. very clear and well-defined, deep bottomed, giant and active MM sound. I recieved many compliments from a fellow bass player (who ownes a Fender JB) about my playing and my sound... he really loved the power of the SR
So yeah, i really aprecciate and love my SR right now (and always have)
