I went online to look at the EB Store and noticed they had a ton more strings than my local shop actually carries!

I was curious to know what EB strings you favor and what gauges for your different EBMM axes you use?

I've been using standard Slinky's on my Luke II's, EVH and now my AL. The AL came with 10's on them but I didn't have a set of 10's after I cleaned it up. Seriously thinking about putting 10's on again, but I haven't played 10's in years.

Also been thinking about trying the pure nickel Slinkys or the coated ones. No one locally seems to have the Coated Slinky though.

The coated 10 gauge slinky's are by far the best strings i have ever used. And I have tried all sorts of brands and different coated strings. The EB's win.

Try Slinky 11's......they don't have quite the tension other 11's do and are very comfy!

How much of a lifespan increase do the coated strings give you guys, especially in humid weather?

If I play 2-3 hours a day, regular strings last me around a week and a half, if I am good to them and wipe them down (they usually turn black after 30 minutes of playing, crazy chemistry going on with my hands). The coated strings last me around a month and a half, with minimal wiping down.

Easy answer, the coated last 3-4 times longer than the regular.

Sidenote -- when do you want your new Lefty JP Cherry Burst BFR guitar?

I have the same issue with the strings turning black very fast. I wish I had received a different super power other than "string corroding sweat".

I'll order a few packs from you to when my other package arrives and is ready to ship. :D

I played 13s in standard tuning for a while. Gave my fingers a workout and the beefy tone was awesome!! Now I'm playing the 10-46 slinkys again.

I used to restring right before every gig...usually at the venue when I was manning the merch table. That was at least once a week, sometimes up to 3 nights a week. That was with D'Addario strings.

Now I’m restringing my 7's about every 2 weeks. I play at least an hour a day, usually more. That's with RPS 10's and a .056 for the low B (just like they come with).

On my 6's I restring every month and a half to 2 months. That's with the EB coated 10's. I still wipe them down every time when I'm done playing due to habit, but they don't really need it like non-coated strings.

Pinky Slinkys (.009s) for me. I have been using them ever since I started playing, way before I ever got into Music Man guitars.
