I'd have to rate the Silhouette Special and the Axis Sport as a tie for me.

Only for the love of a maple neck and the fact I've never played a Luke, Petrucci, Morse or Albert Lee.

Do the musicians get a cut from the signature instruments produced? Or are they just honored to have their own signature instrument? Do they hafta pay when they want more?

A lotta times guys will borrow their sig model from a local shop if one of their stage instruments goes and they need another to complete the show. EVH cited that a while back in an interview, and I know Satch did it in FL when some of his guitars got stolen.

only played the petrucci...

the axis was EVH's but the one i played wasnt set up well.

sillouhette was nice but i dont always dig a pickguard, just a personal thing.

i would love to try them all but i havent found a place that really stocks all of them. im sure the steve morse would be amazing as well. albert lee's sig would be nice for somthing really different.

God bless,

Tony

Well, since the Axis isn't a signature model, I'll go with the Albert Lee as well - it's a great guitar after all, and I love mine almost as much as I love my Axes! :)

By not having played any others I'm probably a little biased since the Petrucci was my first. I've heard great reviews of the others though.

I guess the old saying is true, you always remember your first time and the last time. ;)
