Well from owning both an Axis Sport(s) and a Silhouette Special I'd have to say that I love both equally. There isn't any real 1 individual favorite. They are all unique in their own ways and thats what makes them different.

Sorry, no 1 clear winner for me. However, I will say this, EB/MM's are the only instrument for me!!

I've been so impressed by my new Albert Lee, it's scary...

I used to think nothing could touch the Axis neck, but now my Sport actually feels a little foreign when I switch over from the AL, which is odd because it was the other way around when I got the AL. I think the AL's neck actually fits in my hand just a teeny bit better since it's more curvy, but they're both miles away from anything else, in my book.

I've played a Luke once (really nice), ditto for a Morse (which I preferred, and thought sounded great once you got a handle on the knobs and switches). The Morse neck wasn't a drastic departure from the Axis, and probably felt more like the AL.

Oh, also tried a 7 string Petrucci a few months ago. REALLY cool, I'd imagine the standard one would be quite nice if you like flatter necks. Too bad I didn't get to plug it in - but it resonated nicely!

They're all pretty stellar instruments, and it's great that you can't really go wrong with any of them - just pick the style of music you want to play, and there's one that will cover the bases. Some even cross over the genres pretty nicely, the MM90-ed AL like mine is a near perfect all-around guitar (unless you want to do lots of Floyd wangbar stuff, which I've personally tired of and gotten away from)...

I purposefully have not posted to this thread. My favorite guitar is the Silhouette. The thread asks for your favorite signature model. Well the Silo is the only one that is not (or has ever been) an artist endorsed guitar. Oh I know! I’ll just change my name then I can be the artist that endorses this guitar.

Respectfully,
Norm Silhouette

P.S. I am still looking for news on the 20th anniversary model of MY guitar!

At one time or another I've owned Albert Lee models, Lukes and Steve Morse models. I think my favorite is the Morse. So versatile!

I'm a Luke fan first.

The shape, sound, feel and vibe of it just works for me.

I also love that they're pretty rare. Feels like an exclusive club with about a dozen members.
