Anything by Sade, The Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, Swing Out Sister, or Lisa Stansfield (HA ha, I almost misspelled as Lisa Satanfield! That would be some evil music)

First time I ever saw a SR5 live was when I saw Lisa Stansfield live in Sheffield. The girl I was going out with at the time, and went to the gig with was from the same hometown as Lisa, Rochdale.

Cool. I've always wanted to see Lisa live... but she seldom "comes across the pond." I DID however get to see The Brand New Heavies a couple of months ago in a rather small local club (Park City, UT). I couldn't believe they did a gig around this backwoods musical void of a state. It was so cool. It was just like a typical local band gig. Just a dance party. I spent most of the night right up next to Andrew Levy in front of the stage. What a great feel and groove he has--even though he wasn't playing the Stingray that he used on a lot of the early stuff. :( Stingray or not, though, he rocked (he was using an old sunburst j-bass--he didn't use his War**ck at all).

"Rockin' the Suburbs" (the whole thing) by Ben Folds.

Anything by Lyle Lovett unless it's too weepy.

Best of Shawn Colvin.

Lots of Todd Rundgren.

"These Boots Are Made for Walkin", but of course!

As a Rochdale born and bred boy its nice to see Lisa's name and Rochdale crop up on an international forum. Her parents still live a few roads down from my dad, and sometimes Lisa is to be spotted in my old local...... please lets not forget that other great Rochdale lass Gracie Fields as well....

For me its Substitute or Higher Ground...
