What does that mean exactly? How many of these Family Ball Reserve Guitars are going to be out there? I got myself a JP FBR Black Burst, so I'm wondering how valuable it is... beyond the obscene amount of money I spent.

Anybody know the real facts?

And yes, I do love the guitar... it adds to my collection! I got my Parker P 36 with a Tele style for that Fender crunch (with piezo), my Ibanez S Series with humbuckers and a single... shredding guitar all the way... and well the JP gives me different tones... which I'm still getting used to. It's like u get so used to one sound it takes a while to get into a different sound. The D Sonic pickup is not as hot as I thought it would be, but I guess it's alright. The piezo sounds ridiculously good.

FBR';s are very rare.

Th3 BFR is basically our top of the line. THe BFR signature models will be available and we will also use the BFR moniker for one offs and stuff nomally reserved for artists and family. Also it gives us the opportunity to stretch out a little.

If it's not limited then why....

Why did i get that little certificate that says "Furthermor this instrument is released in limited runs..."?

Oh and i've heard it called the F-1? Also, since i'm new to message boards, sorry i don't understand your slang/short hand lingo.

(JP FBR Black Burst w/Piezo + D Sonic)

"limited release"

okay the exact wording was "furthermore... blah blah... limited release"

I guess what I don't understand is...

is it the same as saying "limited edition"

Also, if it's done in limited runs... how often is each run? how many runs?

let's say, 5 -10 years from now, how many of these ball reserve guitars will be in the hands of people? Or i guess in this case, more specifically, the '07 models.

Sorry for my uh, confusion...

The short answer is I dont know. I can tell you that the total BFR production this year will be about.0357% of our production

Do feel that we have misled you? You have mentioned words like "obscene" and maybe a hint of dissatisfaction. YOu also ask for the "real" story as if someone has mislead you.

I need to make sure that we do not sell any instrument projecting any investment return. If there is one then that would be great.

Would you please call them by their name "BFR"?

Where did you buy yours?

Don't get me wrong, I love the guitar. JP has been my fav. guitarist since I began playing. And well, I WAS mislead by those punks at guitar Center. The guy tells me "this guitar will never lose it's value" and other guy says "it's a limited edition" I asked him "out of how many?" and he says, "I'll find out... (5 min later) well, i couldn't find the exact number, but 300 comes to mind". Now luckily, these were NOT my motivation for buying the guitar, they were just plusses as far as I was concerned. I liked how the guitar feels, the features, and the style, the In lays... It's great. Perhaps my wording "obscene" comes from "looking under the hood". I've already emailed customer service about what i found so i'll respect your rule # 2. I just felt spending thousands of dollars would yield me a perfect guitar (cosmetically speaking), especially one made in the U.S. You might say, "well no guitar is perfect," but not even the many lower end guitars I've bought (in the $600-$1000) range) show some of these tad mistakes I've found in my JP BFR. It wasn't enough to make me return it, I'm happier having one, than not. That's the long explanation behind "obscene". Please don't take any of this badly, if anything, just consider it, maybe look into it, i can send you pictures. I mean, if you tell me that thats the result of hand crafting an instrument, i will be perfectly happy with that answer.

wow Little man Im closing this it is heading a wrong way.
If you do in fact have problems with the guitar please return it to either Guitar Center or Us. You are hitting two many nerves now you are saying that you will respect my sig line # 2 but what you go on to insinuate is worse. Please let us fix it or go get your money back and come back without the aggression
