I've just strung up two of my Fenders with Cobalt Super Slinkys and am really liking them. Now I'm considering buying a lifes supply but am wondering how quickly the cobalt alloy will wear out my frets. I learned 30 years ago that I prefer the sound of stainless steel strings but that they would eat up my frets in a year. I've pretty much been an Ernie nickel plated steel man since. If anyone has any long term experience with this issue, please let me know. Also, it would be great to get customer service's input too.

If I recall correctly, when Cobalts first came people asked about fret wear and EB reported that increased fret wear is not an issue. Note that the cobalt steel is only the windings on the wound strings. The plain strings are the same high carbon steel that standard slinkys use (and indeed that every maker uses, it's the same steel used on piano strings). All steel wrapped strings, whether nickel plated or not wear frets at about the same rate.
