Fender is making a hoopla about new basses that strangely look like StingRays.

The funny thing in all of this, is that marketing bit from this youtube video from the Chicago Music Exchange: Fender American Deluxe Dimension Bass - YouTube

In the video, the rep mentions that Fender spent 2 years consulting the whole Fender artist roster about what a modern bass should be like.

The result of the survey: "We would like to have a StingRay".
