Fernandes Sustainer on the Luke

Hey guys, can I put put the fernandes sustainer neck pickup alone on my luke without installing the system, or I need to put the hole kit so I could get the effect?

Errrrrr.......you need the entire kit.....its not just the pickup.....!

You need to use everything in the kit except for the bridge humbucker. You can use the EMGs instead.

but how it works? My Active Emg's are stille going to sound the same? It will no affect anything on the guitar?

I always see the sustainer as a one trick pony, but hey - horses for courses!

Well, yeah... the Sustainer does one thing... it sustains notes. It's up to the player to do something creative with it.

For what it's worth, if anyone is considering a sustainer unit, i'd strongly recommend the Sustainiac Stealth and Stealth Plus. Their on-board preamp is much more compact than the huge Fernandes board, and can be installed in more guitars with less modification.
