I recently have had many problems with the sound cutting out on my Sterling, so I would have to keep unscrewing the jack, and then fixing the connection. Finally during a show, our singer stepped on my cord, and ripped out 3 wires that were solderd into the jack. Anyone have a diagram on how to re-wire it? I should get a new input jack too. Do I need a special one? Or are they all the same? Thanks for the help.

You can purchase a new jack from customer service, and they can also provide you with a wiring diagram 1 866 823-2255

Sweets Cheezits, how big is your singer's foot! How come the plug didn't just come out of the jack?

Sorry if this seems elementary, but try looping your cord under the strap at the bottom of the bass. Stuff it in there tight close to the strap button and then leave a little bit of a loop between the strap & the jack. When Frankenstein steps on it again, he'll hopefully just pull the loop out and not rip the jack out.
