Hi,

Im new here so would first like to say hello all.

I finally after years of wanting got myself a Stingray. Its a 1991 Trans Blueburst. I have played many Rays before but this one is by far the best i have played. The neck has amazing birds eye maple figuring and the finish is awesome. It also has a nifty little Series/parralel switch fitted.

Heres the pics :)

Thanks,

I got it on monday (traded for a Rick 4003) and i am finding it very hard to put it down ever since. I have owed many top end basses, from jazzes, Ricks, P-basses, Modulus etc but this is where my sound is now. If only i hadent wasted years (and money) with all the other basses.

The closest to this was my old Flea bass, but that was a little too sterile for me. This nails it perfectly.

I had a Flea for about ten minutes once - I know exactly what you mean.

Very nice Stingray!

Welcome aboard.

It appears to be in extremely good condition. I love the early EB Basses

It is in very good condition. Its got one or two very minor dings here and there but nothing noticable unless you look very closely.

The neck seems to be a little slimmer than other Stingrays i found too. Having small-ish hands, this helps me a lot.

Didn't this come from that "other" forum that BP jokingly holds in such high regards? Nice bass, I've gotta try one of those finished-neck Stingrays one o' these days, looks mighty sweet! Welcome aboard!

I think its great. I use it as a boost for songs, particulaly if i down tune to D which i do for about 50% of my songs. It fattens up my tone quite nicely. The original owner had it as a on/off switch, which i think is pointless as i use my tuner pedal as a mute.

Hey Nick welcome to the forum! Lovely Ray - I've seen a few in that colour on the forum recently and it's gorgeous :)

Whereabouts in Essex are you? My mum is Ilford born and bred ;)
