Well after being at university for over 6 weeks now, FINALLY I have my amp. To begin with GAK ruined my order because I was having the stuff sent to my halls of residence instead of my home address (as stated on bank details). Honestly I do not deal in the realms of fraud.

So anyway, sent a cheque off about 2 weeks ago and the amp came today, a Line 6 Spider II 212, which too be honest is far too big for my room, but what are you gonna do? The amp is very good, but I am slightly unhappy with the clean sounds as they are all very reverby and a lil' iffy. Apart from that an easy to use amp with everything you need for uni use. WHICH brings me onto my next point.

This amp, in no way at all compares to my Marshall JCM 900 100Watt amp head and cab at home, but then I guess once you've delved into the realms of Valve amps, there is no going back.

But as a uni amp, that will be slightly easier to cart around than the JCM, it's perfect and when I eventually gig will get me all the women I could possibly need; only joking, I'm not like that at all.

I hope you all didn't get bored of reading all that random crap but, damn, it's nice to have something to plug the Silhouette into after almost 7 weeks of nothing. Both me and the Silhouette are happy bunnies now :) and please excuse the terrible grammar executed in that passage  .

To me, nothing compares to a great tube amp, l have a Spider ii, and l don't like it, but the other guitarist in my band uses it and he gets some great tones out of.

I hope you enjoy it, just keep screwing around with it and experiement with sounds and you'll get a tone you love.

Cheers,

Scott.
