I said when they were announced at NAMM that I'd have one, and today, thanks to my wonderful wife, I finally do. Presenting my latest baby!

Better pics to follow, of course... The weather's crap here today so I can't get any outdoor pics right now... Anyway, this one's amazingly light! The tone is fantastic - very full and round even with the bridge pickup! and the beautiful, beautiful neck plays "like buttah", of course. I'm totally in awe of this guitar!!

The bad news is that I did have to sell my other Axis to be able to afford it, but I've so wanted a Rosewood since first playing one a little more than a year ago that it seemed a worthy sacrifice. I'll miss the other, but we simply couldn't afford both, so a decision had to be made... c'est la vie...

Happy Camper Me!!

That rosewood Axis is SCHWEEET!!!! I really like that you got this instead of the super sport. Axis is real baby. You didn't sell the teal sport did you. That is my favorite one of yours. You also know you get my PBB when I die don't you? Unless you kill me. And it's in my will that way.

Thanks for responses guys - as you can probably tell, I'm thrilled.

Very nice Jimy! Did you get the one that Steve's had in store?
Yep, that's it! but I took the 'Steve's Music" sticker off the back of the headstock (?!?) Anyway, it's nice and light and a super clean build - very sweet! I waited over a year to buy this guitar, and it was worth every minute of the wait!!

As for which one I let go, it was my trans-gold Axis - not any of the Sports or Super Sports. I still have only one Axis with a floyd...

And NorM, much as I love your Pacific Blue Burst Axis, I'd prefer you stick around a little while, 'kay ;)

For some reason looking at that makes me want to mount it on the wall, walk up to it, stare at it for a second, cock me head back and forth as if in thought and then finally say "Uh-huh" while clapping and nodding.
