I don't know about German strings, but I'll take some German beer.. :D

preferably Kulmbacher Mönchshof Schwarzbier.. my favorite!

Well, different to the beer, the strings aren't tasty at all :D

I didn't have Kulmbacher yet - 27 years of life are not enough to check all german beers :)

I understand, I am soon-to-be 35 and I haven't gotten to all of them yet. But with great beers like Kulmbacher, I may stop trying! ;)

Well, I gave up. I had way too much string breakage during the last gigs, so I ordered a Set of GraphTech String Savers and put them on my Luke:

They don't look too nice, but my palm is really happy about the new saddles :D
They sound quite nice, too - my sound got more "balls" in the midrange and some more sweet sustain has been added - well, I'm happy ;)
