Well i finally ordered a EBMM Luke.

How long do you guys think that I must wait antil I get my Luke?

I ordered it for about 2 weeks ago and i live i sweden so i guess that it is going to take some time.

They didnt have a Luke with the options that i wanted here in sweden so im getting a new one straight from the US.
I think so anyway:rolleyes:

How long have u guys been waiting for your guitars?

Hey Victor,

Congrats. You're gonna love it.

I special ordered 2 of them

1 took 3 months. the other took 5 months:(

It will probably be closer to 3 unless you ordered a transparent finish and they have to wait for more wood to come in.

Man I hope you got the piezo, it makes one of the finest guitars produced that much more versatile. You'll be inspired forever either way.

Hey Victor, Congrats on ordering the new Luke!! I hope it doesn't take too long to cross the pond to you, but you know that - however long it takes - it's gonna be worth it!!

Victor,

Congratulations! I'm excited for you.

It took 3 months to get my Axis SS with piezo. It may take a little bit longer in shipping time and going through customs, etc.

It is worth the wait!

Can you get a transparent finish? I'd order one tomorrow if you can. The single thing stopping me ordering is the uninsprired range of finishes available at the moment. I'm holding on until they produce something to replace Blue Dawn...or have a quilted maple top.

I believe the only transparent finish curently offered on the LUKE is Vintage Sunburst.

It's stunning. Just a teensy step below the Blue dawn when I display them side by side. Highly recommended.

I think theres a $100 upcharge for it.

Order now! Before they discontinue THAT color.

Also try using the dealer locator on musicman website in hunting down a blue dawn Luke.

Get the zipcodes from as many major US cities as you can and the locator lists dealers and their stock (which is sometimes out of date) within 100 miles. Also may work similarly in your country.

Try new york, la, chicago, atlanta, philly, denver, salt lake, detroit, seattle, portland, miami, houston, san francisco, new orleans,
st louis, cincinatti, Phoenix, etc.

Lots of luck.

Wow...that's a pretty long time. But good choice and it will definitely be worth both your time and money. They are more than satisfactory.

victor: You were going to buy a guitar in sweden? (i live in sweden too) they cost twice the cost, how much would you pay for it in sweden?

kbaim: But then they had to build your guitar too?

Yep.

They built 2 LUKES for me exactly how I wanted them. But if you can find the one you want in circulation, it may be more cost effective (re: cheaper) to go that route.

Thanks for that Keith. Unfortunately, finding Luke's in Scotland (or even the UK in general) is near impossible. If I do buy one it'll be a direct order. I just wish they'd do a quilted maple top like the one Luke had on his 88-89 Valley Arts. That was a stunning guitar and looked very much like his prototype for the Luke.

Not really a sunburst fan myself. I'd much rather see natural wood through the finish without any frills.:(

Guess I'll just wait for a while and see what they offer.
