The insurance company came good with replcement cameras for the ones that were stolen in the recent burglary, so I cranked out some 30th pics today. That finish is a bastid to capture properly!

Why put those HORRID strings on that BEAUTIFUL bass!!??!!??!!??

A poll of which brand strings forumites use on their EBMM basses would be enlightening, but since this is the EBMM forum it's out of scope. EB make great strings, no question about that, but string preference is a very personal thing, just like beer preference. I've been playing for more than 30 years, and I've got a pretty good handle on which strings I like on particular basses and which beers I like. String tension, gauge, responsiveness, feel and tone all come into the equation. I don't use EB straps either, so sue me.

what beer do you drink Mark?

Preferred brews, in no particular order are -

Coopers Sparkling Ale
Coopers Pale Ale
Newcastle Brown
James Squire Amber Ale
Little Creatures Rogers' Ale
Asahi
San Miguel Pilsener
Crown Lager
Hoegarden

If travelling and am stuck for choice I can get by with a Corona or Miller Genuine Draft. When I was in the US a few years ago I eventually decided that Sam Adams is a half decent drop too.

Of course, I lived in Queensland for 3 years and was forced to drink XXXX. It's amazing how quickly you can get used to drinking the local brew. After 3 years I could almost tolerate XXXX ;)

There's some common ground..

At the Open House in '05, the night of the concert by the EBMM Signature Artists, BP had Newcastle Brown on tap for our refreshment. One of my favorites! And I got to throw back a few with Gav, which made it all the more enjoyable.
