Right I'm gonna do it -

I'm selling ma 335 to finance a new luke -or maybe another axis - but probably a luke.........

Anyone in the UK tried to trade one in ? - I got mine cheap but need about £1200 to afford the luke without using my flexible friend.

I had it on ebay but only got offered trades..... any help /advice would be nice!

Failing that I'll set fire to it and claim on the home insurance!!!! (not really)

My best bet with selling my G&L was to start it at a very low price like $0.99 and let people bid from there and if it didnt go where i wanted id just pull the auction. Saying it sold locally.

That is kind of abusing the system. Makes buyers very pissed. (Not to mention that this is violation of the contract you enter when someone bids on your guitar) Communities such as eBay can only exist if people play by the rules. If sellers start pulling auctions just because they didn't get the price they liked, and buyers will stop paying for their purchases just because they made an impulse buy, it will just fall apart.

Well the same thing happened to me the auction got pulled on this Luke i was bidding on magically got sold locally when the end price was $550 and what made it worse was it was the same guy that pulled the auction on me. I guess it was "pay back" but if i look at it now it wasnt the right thing to do.

It happend to me twice lately while I was shopping for a new cell phone. But I guess if you do it to someone who did it to you it's not as bad.

Without wanting to answer for smellybum - I think I'm safe to say that it will be too much.

Crazy is the man who takes a Gibson FROM the uk TO the states. Crazy I tell you. Crazy.

I've always hankered after a 335, I got a lot of "Ummming and Ahhring" to do.

It's ironic cause I have been working a lot in Scotland over the last couple of months and could have seen it in the flesh.

I'm not gonna string you out over this - my other option is to get an AL with MM90's which is the route I will in all probability take.

It is a great looking guitar at a good "UK" price.

Well - £1350 -is about $2500-2700??? - I guess you can buy one in the US for less......... but in the UK they cost more.

It is a fantastic guitar but I too have the problem of the body, I've been a les paul /axis and guitars of that shape and size player for the last 16 years so it's like playing an aircraft carrier for me!

I want to sell it - but I'd go for the AL too !!!

There'a lawyer in Inverness who's coming to see it Sunday - if all goes well I'll be off to my dealer to order a luke II in Dargie Delight with piezo Monday morning.

Anyone who's got an ear of the big man upstairs say one for me please !!

I know what you mean "playing wise" - I strapped a 335 on b4 Xmas and I thought the neck was too long - a barritone 335 ha!

I owe the big man upstairs one, - I'll mention it to him.

Just phoned Guitar Guitar in Glasgow for a quote for a Luke II with piezo in Dargie Delight........waiting on them calling back

I feel like a teenager on a first date....... Well I probably won't find one of them so I'll have to hope the price on the guitar is good and they'll take my 335 as a trade!!!

Fingers crossed. tick tock tick tock.....
