Okay, this is just the beginning, but I've finally got some sound samples of the Bongo online.

You can check out my lame Bongo page here:
http://www.mindspring.com/~jshew2/Bongo5.htm

Some pics there, too.

I'm going to be recording some more samples, but I haven't been too terribly happy with my playing on some of the ones I've done, so I'm waiting until my Phil Jones Briefcase arrives in the next day, or two before I try, again.

If there is a particular pickup/EQ combination that you want to hear, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Hoho! Most excellent! Thank you, good sir, for providing high quality and clean samples of yer lovely Bongo!

I bet evil, nasty sounds will come from your fretless!

And... that Phil Jones combo looks like a beast!

Update: I've got a question... Have you ever considered trying out some kind of mute to add to your Bongo to give it an even more contrabass-like sound?

I've only listened to sample one but it's amazing how P-Bass-ish it sounds with the piezo's soloed, albeit a very clean P-Bass but that could be an interesting weapon those little piezos.... and PHIL JONES!!!!! argh.... very jealous;) I really would like to hear his Piranha cabinets. The briefcase looks great for upright stuff too. Have fun! and my fretless was supposed to be here last week but a little birdy informed me that it'll most likely be the end of June when it comes in........................ ( insert impatient but very worth the wait expletives):D
