My first thoughts are "wow that's very unique and creative" my follow up thoughts are "I really like it." From what I can see is a cross between an Albert lee and and armada? Maybe very hard edged lines... Don't know but I like the designs.
As I said in another post, MM is daring to offer radically new shapes! They don't recycle standards from the 60's.
It's definetly a cross between an armada and the AL but with an extra "angle" on the upper horn.
Looking forward to fully discover it !
It looks verry different from annything we've seen before. Wich makes it cool. And as stated above, not another re-design of the classics. Not sure if i will ever fall for it but the albert lee kind of grew on me too so who knows.... I'm curious about the pickups and electronics in this one.
I wonder how the design process for this guitar went/goes
Does the Artist come with a drawing of the Rough shape?
I'd like to see a better pic of that Guitar. Looks very different indeed but not bad
St Vincent, Drew and I were the team on this. This is Annies original sketch that was interpreted by drew and then Annie and I worked together. This was the most invigorating and fun instrument I have ever done. She is truly gifted..she has a total knack for style and design.
In the last video, aside from the energy of the event itself, she looks really happy to playing it (no surprise). There's a point were she looks down at it, and when she looks back up she has a Mona Lisa smile.
there are additional pics and videos all over the interwebs...
the bridge does appear to be something of the Majesty vein...
it looks like a full size humbucker in the bridge and minis in the middle and neck.
the butt of the guitar appears to have a slight taper to a point so similar to an armada but with a bit of a point to it... very well balanced looking visually...
i'd be curious to the neck shape since she has more petite hands will the shape be a smaller profile...
