I played my new JP with some guys last night, and I cannot be happier! I used my line 6 spider 15 (ease of transport and setup) and the new JP was on FIRE. The amp is surprisingly loud for its size/wattage, and the JP really set it off. The first thing I noticed was that the RPS 10's that come on it from the factory play MUCH better than the D'Addario's I have been using on my other JP. I think i'll stick with the RPS's for both guitars from now on.
Now, the fun part: The D-Sonic is a monster! It seems to capture a fuller and more complete range of frequencies than the older bridge pickup with posts. The middle position even benefits from the D-Sonic seeing as it is being used for this position. I can get such sweet stratty, saturated, metallic sounds in this position. It is phenomenal. The neck pickup is even a little brighter compared to my other JP. Overall, it was a very joyous experience, and I thought i would share it.
Oh, and everyone that saw it was enamored with it! I can't wait to play a gig with this thing, and open it up even more!
Thanks again EB for crafting such an amazing instrument! I can see/hear/feel the difference just one year makes in the mastering of building electric guitars!
