I hope this is ok to be posted in this section. This is the first thing I recorded with my new JP BFR. This is just a short clip of a song that I'm working on with a friend for a future cd. I only did the melody line and he did the rest. It's a work in progress so this is just an idea, but my excitement with this guitar has me posting this. :) Man, this thing has some good sustain for a floating bridge...

Paul, man, that sounds killer! Such a rich, full-bodied distortion. The pinch harmonics were really cutting, but nowhere near "painful screechiness".

I loved it! Could we get some clips of the piezo/mix/Push-Pull?

This was done with your Mesa? What kind?

Again, Awesome tone and playing!:eek:

All the other parts were written, sequenced and/or played by my good friend Bob Oakman. He and I have a lot of stuff we're putting together and this was just one of the ideas we're batting around. I've been putting melodies on lots of our ideas.

It's recorded on a Triaxis/20-20 miced with a 57 and a Sennheiser 421 on a Mesa 4x12. Nothing is really mixed - it's just scratch tracks but it gives the general idea. I'll see about posting other settings on the BFR as time (and neighborhood volumes) permit. :)

Thanks for listening and commenting. I think the BFR is going to see major studio usage. :)

That sounds killer. I want that tone. Speaking of tone, any pointers on sparking up my Dual Rec Head. It has 6L6's in it ? Just wondering. I need to boost that tone into next year.

Awesome playing and tone, Paul. I loved my Tri-axis when I had it. Very flexible and tons of great tones at hand. Thanks for sharing that clip.

Paul, mind sharing your settings? I just got a Triaxis too; although using a 2:90 rather than a 20/20.

Also, are you using EQ on the G Major? I'm going to order one of those units soon so that I can scoop the mids a bit for rhythm, as pushing the dynamic voice about 2.0 sounds a bit... not so good.
