Hi guys,

I have been without a musicman bass for 10 years plus - what was I doing??. I tried all sorts of basses but nothing sounded like my old SR5.

I was looking at buying new but couldn't pass up this used SR5 with piezo option. I am waiting on some strings and setup (current strings are very light and DEAD as) to appreciate her in all her glory.

Enjoy ... I certainly am :)

With some choices you can never go back...

Lucky for you, your choice of bass is not one of them - welcome back! :)

Welcome back, Scottyboy, and welcome to the forum!

Fantastic combination - meow! I'm a huge fan of abalone pickguards.

Cheers,
-Beth :)

That instrument is breath taking before you even strike a note.

Thanks for the kind words guys. :)

I have been lurking here for quite a while waiting until I finally got the stingray.
Its probably been a year since I knew the SR5 was the bass I wanted and until I finally had the funds to purchase.

The original owner didn't know the color name - from looking at the color charts and as mynan pointed out I think it is Carbon Blue Pearl.

When I was thinking of buying new - I was only looking at translucent colors and plain headstock. I wouldn't have chosen this color and definitely not matching headstock... but as soon as I saw it I knew that was the color combo for me!!
Looks killer in person.

Nice looking Bass and welcome back. Great choice on the color!!!!

I have to give props to the original owner on the color/combo.

Welcome. FYI
There is a strange fever running through the forum.
Next thing you know, you'll own a Bongo.
Don't say I didn't warn you. :D
