First time post ... First JP 6

Yeah. They got me...

I recently went into a Guitar Center in New Jersey and played a Mystic Dream JP 6 and immediately thought to myself, "Where have you been all my guitar playing life?" Luckily, I found a guy online that was letting his JP 6 go for an amazing price, so I snagged it right away.

I have been playing guitar for nearly 30 years and have even toured opening for national acts throughout the United States. My guitars of choice have been Fender Strats, Les Pauls, Jackson, Kramer, Charvel, ESP, Ibanez.. you name it, I've played/owned it.

So, here it comes... All other guitars I have ever played are garbage compared to the Musicman JP 6. I am sorry to say, but I need to honest when I say that I feel like an idiot for not trying out Ernie Ball guitars years ago.



The only question I have at this time is which other JP 6 am I going to buy next...

yeah it's an addiction, I had 4, sold 1 (tangerine pearl), and then last week found a used Mystic with rosewood neck hanging in my local shop...wife was not pleased, but it needed a home.

I'm also new to the forum and couldn't agree more. I have LOADS of guitars but the only ones I can play out with are my JP6 models...I bought my first (a Mystic Dream) about 10 years ago then loved that so much I bought a Blue Pearl with Piezo. I sold (foolishly...I even had John sign it a DT show years back...duh) the Mystic Dream one and kept and gigged with the Blue Pearl. I just started gigging again and wanted a backup, so I drove 2 1/2 hours to Sweetwater and picked out a JP6 Loaded with Rosewood Neck in Tangerine Pearl!!! Gigged it Saturday and Sunday and absolutely LOVE it!!! Just drove up to Chicago Music Exchange today and traded one of my Gretsch Duo Jets for a Trans Red Axis. Love it!!!

congratulations! great choice- when i discovered the jp6 about 7 years ago, I found a guitar that just fit me better than anything else i had ever played. I recently just bought my sixth, and want to keep going...

Welcome to the forum. I myself recently bought a loaded JP6 Mystic Dream. It just plays as beautiful as it looks. Best guitar I've ever played! You sure picked one fine brand to play. EBMM rules.
