Winter Namm Instruments that were shown at the Ernie Ball International Open house January 1997. Check out the Axis Sport prototypes. When the Axis SS came along we discontinued the Sport.

Dudley really liked the pickguards on these models. Other folks did as well, but the vote was leaning towards taking them off.

We left the cream pickguard on the Black Axis for a while but that soon was dropped a few years later.

+1 :(

That trans-blue Sport with the humbucker in the bridge and single coil in the neck and the three way switch, that's a dream guitar for me... WOOF!

I also think it's interesting that three of those Axis Sports don't have a tone control...

...and I still want to find a nice Axis Sport S/S/S with trem... :D

I've always thought the Sports were good looking guitars. The green and blue ones in particular look stunning in those pictures. It is a shame that they were discontinued. :(

I hope to find one when I have the funds for a new guitar.

How come there are no screws - whats holding it on dude?

I cant decide whether I love or hate the pickguard - I love the tone of my Axis Sport though.
