I put the flats on last Monday. I used them at rehearsal on Thursday and four services yesterday. They really do make a difference getting rid of the string squeal that I get with the rounds. My style includes a lot of sliding (not sloppy) to position even if just a little bit that isn't evident in the music. I was also surprised by the way they responded to eq changes and I think they sound really good all the way around. The Bongo has the power to drive them anywhere I want to go and they have definitely given me what I needed. I'll stick with the Cobalts on my 25th and SR5, but for the Bongo I think it's going to be flats.
