Help! Flats Help required!!!

Hi guys

I've decided to try flats on the bongo... 50/105's

All going great until the G string won't tune up as its slipping in the machine head!!!

It seems to be doing it no matter how i "saddle" the string.

HELP!! anyone come across this before

These cost me much more than my normal stainless steel bad boys and she's goptta be ready for tomorrow night!!

apologies! panic over!! nothing a little bit of gaffa tape couldn't fix... think i'll need to leave the G longer next time i restring!!
