flea quesation for big poppa

i was just reading that thread about flea and you said there would be no flea bass.Wouldnt it be a massive money spinner to do a flea signature bass.make a black like he used to use put his signature on the pickguard or sumthing, few photos of him grinning with it , he gets 5% of sales.It would sell like mad iam sure of it .everyone would win!!!you would make a shed load of money and he would!surely a deal like that would be appealing at the very least.Also i would like to ask about when you were designing the sterling what you aiming for.alot of people compare it to the jazz and sr to the pricesion, was this the dynmic you wanted?and finally do you have any videos on youtube or any where of you playing?id like to see what styles ect your into, and did this effect any design decision of the basses you design.Thank you for your time.

We've done and over-done this Flea question for years, so I'm going to close this - BP can open it to answer any question he wants to answer, but "opinions" on a Flea signature bass can be found by doing a forum search.

Sorry, but I just don't feel like moderating (again) a Flea discussion.

Try a search, though. Not trying to be an ass, but these things tend to spin out of control almost immediately.

The problem with a Flea signature bass is that he wanted his name on a sting ray...I think that no one should have their name on the sting ray...it would be disrespectful to Leo, and artists like Tony Levin, Louis Johnson to have him be the name of the SR.

As far as my playing i'm a middle aged blueeyed bassplayer that grew up on the beatles the summer of love through mowtown and progressive rock...I am a reasonably adequate bassist at best.
