Got the chance of a Flextone 3 plus with an extension cab, thinking this could be a nice stereo set up and good for Lukather type sounds.

Anybody using one ??

Well, sort of.

I'm using their flextone II line. Absolutely love it with the LUKE!

Mostly the blackface for clean and the modern hi gain for distorted. I always use the delay, sometimes add in the chorus or flange when fingerpicking.

Play around with the cabinet models AFTER you choose an amp setting as it can make a huge improvement (or difference) in the tone.

NOTE: I haven't been able to get quite as good a tone using the Flextone III. But I probably just needed to spend more time with it.

Congrats!

Cheers Keith,
There's been a software for the Flex III recently too which is supposed to be great.
Most folk think I'm mad going for a Flex III as I use a Boogie DC5 but it's just too too loud. Also I'm using a huge pedalboard which I'm sick of lugging around and going from even clean to dirty with my settings is a tap dance.
I think the Flex will be the answer and I'm not a tube snob either ;) :D

I also opted for the long floorboard they offer.

It has a volume pedal, and a wah on it.

But mostly I like it because it has a bank of four switches that allow you to program in the most useful tones and makes for simple switching bam, bam, bam, bam.

It was a couple hundred extra but well worth it I think.
