Just got a reply.

Without me asking about it, he mentioned this was not a pic of his guitar, but a downloaded one. Also mailed me with a company emailaddress, not gmail or hotmail.
I think he is legit.

Not buying the ball though ;)

That may be because I emailed him and told him that he is using my picture and that I notified the EBMM forum and EBMM company that he was do so. I also told him that I have informed individuals that were interested in the guitar that the picture is a false advertisement and not of the guitar he is selling.

And he has changed the picture.

@Mark-NL ... Thanks for posting the question and inadvertenly making me aware of this issue.

So ... on to the quesiton ... floyds ... LOVE THEM. Yes they have a learning curve, but once you get used to them they're great. Does tunign take longer. Yes. But in the end I like the tricks I can do with the floyd so I don't mind the tuning time.

As far as the advice to block it or fix it for down only ... IMO if you do that just use another bridge. Floyds are meant to dive, be pulled back, and be abused.

As far as alternate tuning. It's impossible on a floating system without major adjustment not on the fly, so if you use alternate tunings alot you need to get another guitar either with a fixed bridge or a Floyd equipt guitar for every alternate tuning you need. VERY IMPRACTICAL.

I currently have a fixed bridge Morse I use for standard, Drop-D and Open D and a Morse with a floyd I use for standard tuning. But we are writting more in Drop-D so I am looking at getting another Morse or JP6 to have a trem guitar in Drop-D.

The reason I might go with the JP6 is for a tonal difference, I want something with a slightly heavier tone. As far as the bridge on the JP6 it feels nice to me and close to a floyd, but I prefer the floyd.

Good luck on picking out a Morse ... just make sure it's not mine again ;)

Since we're discussing alternate tunings, fitting an EVH D-Tuna to a Floyd allows you to instantaneously drop the E to a D for drop D tuning.

Yes but without blocking the trem, D Tuna is unstable, whilst drop d tuning!!!!

I like both the Floyd and the MM Vintage bridge, but they each have their own sound. I didn't think it made a big difference but after owning the same model guitar with and without a floyd, they do indeed have different sound.

Honestly, I miss having a Floyd to play on. I love the Axis pickups, but the non-routed tremolo is a deal killer for me. If the Axis guitars had a routed cavity, I'd probably own 10+.

There is no reason to be afraid of the floyd. I will repeat what was said, that it takes a little bit to get used to setting it up, but you should get comfortable with all the aspects of ANY guitar I think. I've tinkered with my Silo Special soooo many times, that I feel comfortable taking it apart and putting it back together and having it set up perfectly again. There are tonal differences between a fixed bridge, vintage trem, floyd...but I would not go as far as to say one sounds BETTER over another or that a floyd KILLS the tone. That's pure nonsense! I've heard sooo many players with Floyd equipped guitars and their tone is amazing!

For instance to keep this on topic, here is the great video done by Colin of Mr. Morse with the brilliant chambered blackburst Y2D. How much does that tone suck? hahaha
